Ribena Great Jelly Face-off

Dentsu entrusted me with the exciting challenge of creating an interactive Instagram AR game for their client, Ribena. Within a tight one-month timeline, I successfully developed the game, which captivated users by challenging them to catch flying jelly blobs with their mouths, earning points with each successful catch. This campaign was designed to promote Ribena's new jelly-infused drink launch.
Objective
The client wanted to create an interactive Instagram AR game that would engage users and promote their new jelly-infused drink. The game needed to be fun, intuitive, and easy to play. The client also wanted to incorporate a leaderboard to encourage users to compete with each other and share their scores on social media.
Game Mechanics
The objective of the game was to catch as many flying jelly blobs as possible with your mouth. The game would start with a countdown, and the jelly blobs would start flying across the screen. The user would have to catch the jelly blobs with their mouth by opening and closing their mouth. Each successful catch would earn them points, and the game would end after 10 seconds. The user could then share their score on social media and challenge their friends to beat their score.

Challenges
- The client had a tight one-month timeline for the project, which meant that I had to work quickly and efficiently to deliver the game on time.
- I also had to ensure that the game was intuitive and easy to play, as the client wanted to target a wide audience of users of all ages.
- The client also needed us to accurately portray the jelly blobs in the game, which meant we had to create realistic sprite sheets for the jelly blobs.
Results
I had a lot of fun working on this project, and I'm proud of the final product. Everything was delivered on time, and the client was thrilled with the results. The game was a huge success, with a lot of users playing the game and sharing their scores on social media. A lot of local influencers also shared their scores on social media, which helped the game go viral. The client was thrilled with the results and the positive feedback from users.
